Pescatentacle

Pescatentacle

“Pescatentacle” 2018, by Ash Catalan.

Heavily influenced by Japanese art style and my recent obession with drawing clouds, this piece was created. The medium was primarily ink markers and India ink. I use hatching techniques as well as stippling to create interesting parts of the drawing to look at . This is also inspired by the art I will sometimes see at japanese restaurants and the sort of murals that they showcase.

Bio: I’m Ash Catalan, a 16 year old high school student with the drive to create pieces that people enjoy. I enjoy making drawings that I feel like I can feel proud to call my own. I work in a variety of mediums, and I love to try out new mediums too. It’s been my goal to make a future for myself out of creating artwork and using my passion to create lasting impacts on people. Other than art, I also do work in journalism at my high school’s newspaper as Editor-in-Chief.
